What are Dental Implants?

We place it into the jaw bone, which fuses strongly with the implant. We can attach a porcelain crown or a denture attachment to the implant.

Implants can be used to:

  • Replace one missing tooth. Prices starting from $4470.
  • Replace multiple missing teeth next to each other. Two implants on either side can support a dental bridge (eg 3 teeth with 2 implants).
  • All teeth. This is a concept we call “All on Implants”.
  • Stabilise dentures. This is particularly common with lower dentures.

Why choose us for your Dental Implant?

Experience.

We were the first general dental practice in Tamworth to place dental implants over 15 years ago. Since then, Dr. Min has placed over 1000 implants and achieves a very high success rate. Dr Vera has been placing implants since 2019 and done extensive postgraduate study including her Diploma in Implantology.

We want the best function as well as cosmetics. We are skilled in many complementary surgical techniques that allow us to place implants at a higher standard such as: bone grafting, gum grafting, sinus lifts, socket preservation. We also work with specialists if your case requires it or if you would like to have general anesthetic.

Implants should be planned as part of a bigger picture treatment plan. We have the motto "do it once, do it well". We will discuss with you all of your options and come up with the treatment plan that best suits your individual budget, wants and needs.

Here to support you long-term.

We are locally owned and here to stay, meaning we are here to maintain your implant as well. We are focused on long-term success, so you can have peace of mind that you will be cared for well into the future.

Cutting edge technology.

Cutting edge TechnologyOn-site 3D x-ray (CBCT) machine, digital scanner and digital planning software means we will plan the whole procedure on the computer before your appointment! We can see the nerves and important anatomical structures and discuss all of this with you before we begin. We can have surgical guides printed to guide the surgery.

We have an onsite centrifuge that allows us to spin blood taken from your arm to get the growth factors out, which we use to rehydrate bone grafts or make a membrane made out of your own blood! This speeds up healing, reduces swelling and provides better treatment outcomes.

Most clinics only use one implant system. Every implant brand has advantages and disadvantages. We stock multiple different types of implants so we can use the one that best suits your individual case and risk factors.

FAQs About Dental Implants

Advantages of Dental Implants
  • Appearance and function! Dental implants look and feel like your own teeth. Since dental implants integrate into the structure of your bone, they prevent the bone loss and gum recession that often accompany bridgework and dentures. No one will ever know that you have a replacement tooth.
  • Tooth-saving: Dental implants don't sacrifice the quality of your adjacent teeth like a bridge does because neighbouring teeth are not used to support the implant. Your own teeth are left untouched, a significant long-term benefit to your oral health! Not to mention its much easier to clean.
  • Confidence: Dental implants will allow you to once again speak and eat with comfort and confidence. They are shaped like teeth so your tongue and muscles aren't affected like they are with dentures, which are bulky and often affect your speech and function. With implants, you can eat whatever you want, laugh and live life knowing they are secure.
  • Reliable: The success rate of dental implants is highly predictable. They are considered an excellent option for tooth replacement and in many cases can have a longer lifespan with less damage to adjacent teeth than bridges.
