Achieve a Stunning, Natural Smile with Dental Veneers in Tamworth
Dental veneers are a popular cosmetic dentistry solution for transforming the appearance of your teeth, offering a lasting and effective way to achieve the smile you’ve always dreamed of.
What makes us different is we look at the teeth as part of a bigger picture: the gums framing it, the tooth position and how everything sits in relation to the face and smile. Many patients don’t like their smile but can’t put their finger on it - that’s where we come in! At your cosmetic consultation we will discuss all aspects of cosmetic dental and smile design, and give you all options so you have full control of your treatment plan.
Our veneers provide a customizable option tailored to your unique needs. We are skilled with both porcelain and composite veneers. Occasionally we also do some 18k gold veneers!
What are Dental Veneers?
Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells designed to cover the front surface of your teeth. They are crafted to mimic the natural appearance of enamel while providing added strength and resilience. Veneers are a versatile solution, addressing a wide range of cosmetic concerns, such as:
- Discolored or stained teeth.
- Shape correction.
- Chipped or broken teeth.
- Gaps between teeth.
- Misshapen or uneven teeth.
- Worn-down teeth or enamel.

What are alternative options to Veneers?
What other treatments are considered in cosmetic dentistry? When making your treatment plan, we will also consider clear aligners, full crowns instead of veneers (for example if there is a lot of tooth structure missing), gum grafting, injections to treat gummy smile, building up the bite, and more to get you the most beautiful, natural smile.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are crafted from durable, high-quality ceramic and are custom-made in a dental laboratory. They are known for their exceptional aesthetic over the long term.
Advantages of Porcelain Veneers
- Superior Aesthetics: Mimic the translucence and texture of natural teeth. Porcelain is like a glass, it reflects light and makes the teeth shine like enamel does. Composite does not have this quality.
- Long-Lasting: With proper care, they can last 10–15 years or more.
- Stain-Resistant: Unlike composite veneers, porcelain resists discoloration.
- Custom Fit: Designed to perfectly match your smile for a flawless result.
Considerations
Porcelain veneers typically require a slightly more invasive procedure, including minor enamel removal. They are also more expensive than composite veneers, but their durability and aesthetic appeal make them a worthwhile investment for many patients.
For patients who are interested in minimising how much we need to prepare the teeth, we often combine a short, cheap course of clear aligners to move the teeth into the right position for veneers.
Cost of Porcelain Veneers
Our fees start from $1250 per veneer. This means for the front 6 teeth it is only $7500.
We offer payment plans if required. The health fund code is 556 per tooth if you would like to check your benefits.
Composite Veneers
Composite veneers are made of a high-quality resin material, composite, applied directly to the tooth surface and polished to a high shine. We only use the highest quality composite and have every shade out there. This type of veneer is popular for patients seeking a cost-effective and minimally invasive option.
Advantages of Composite Veneers
- Quick Application: Often completed in a single visit.
- Affordable: A more budget-friendly option compared to porcelain veneers.
- Reversible: In many cases, little to no enamel removal is required.
- Customizable: The resin is shaped and colored to match your natural teeth seamlessly.
Considerations
While composite veneers are durable, they are more prone to staining and may not last as long as porcelain veneers.
Proper care and maintenance can extend their lifespan, typically ranging from 6 to 10 years, often needing to be replaced due to stain. The beauty of composite veneers is that they are reparable and reversible.
Cost of Composite Veneers
Our composite veneers start at $425 per tooth. This means you can get a set of 6 for $2550. The item code is 526 if you want to get an estimate from your health fund. Payment plans are available.
The Veneer Process
01
Consultation
We’ll discuss your goals, evaluate your oral health, and determine the best veneer option for you.
02
Temporary Try In
For porcelain veneers we often get a ‘mock-up’ made first for you to try in your mouth where we can adjust the shape and length.
03
Preparation
For porcelain veneers, we’ll gently reshape your teeth to make room for the veneers. Composite veneers require minimal preparation.
04
Custom Design
Impressions or digital scans are taken to create custom porcelain veneers, or composite resin is applied directly to your teeth.
05
Application
Porcelain veneers are bonded to your teeth with dental cement, while composite veneers are sculpted and polished for a flawless finish.
06
Follow-Up
We’ll ensure your new veneers feel comfortable and look perfect.
